Witness report free essay sample

What method of evangelism did you use and how did you start the conversation? I used the Friendship method; I was drawn to that method because of the person in which I choose to witness to. My son was not my first choice, but it happen Just as it was supposed to. I questioned the friendship method at first, but I came to understand friendship was Just a metaphor for friends, family, stranger, and anyone else whom could fit into that category. I picked my son, because I felt he was he right person at that moment to witness to.He and I were engaged in a conversation about angel. Not the angel who are in Heaven, but the angel which there was a TV show that he and I use to love to watch once upon a time. Anyway, he was watching the DVD of the show In his room. I knew that was my opportunity to witness to him since he was already on the page about demons. I asked my son what if all of that was true about what was going on in the show, he said some of it is true. I asked him what part he thinks is true, he responded. The part when angel lost his soul. I asked him if angel lost his soul for real what would happen. He said they showed what would happen on the show, angel became a beast named Angels. After that answer, I asked him, can I share something with you, he said share what? How good God is. God is a good God; He is always there for you and me. He will give you everything your heart desire, all you have to do is ask. All he asks for in return is your love and devotion to him and only him. He said, you always ask me that. Then, I seed him do he believe Jesus died on the cross for our sins, he answered yes. Do you ever think about Glenn your life to the Lord? I began to tell him; remember when I told you I received Christ as my savior? It was a life changing experience for me; all kinds of doors have open for me. God can do the same for you if you are willing to give Him a chance. Step out on faith, because faith comes from what is heard and what is heard comes by the preaching of God. It depends on how you hear. Faith comes by hearing only if you have the right attitude. I told my son you can confess our sins right her right now.I also told him, I love the Lord and I can and will praise him anywhere, because he is that good to me. PART TWO What was the reaction (questions/comments/statements) of the unbeliever? My son reaction to what I said to him was like always, he gave me all the reasons why he could not totally commit to God at this time. One thing he said really shocked me because he never said It before. He began to say, I am saved. I talk to God all the time not only to ask for things, but to talk to him Just to see how he Is doing and whether or not I am making he right decision about things.I told my son that Is good, but that does not make you save. You have to go though the Son in order to see the Father. He knew what he is still saved, he Just does not have the Baptism of the Holy Spirit. Right now he feels he is too young to have the full package. I told him you are never too young to serve God. If He comes back today you will be lost. You are old enough now that you carry your own sins. I cannot go for you. You have to do that all by yourself. He said he knows that too. He is not ready to commit his life at this time. Witness Report free essay sample â€Å"Witness Report† PART ONE – What method of evangelism did you use and how did you start the conversation? The method of evangelism that I used was the Apostles Evangelism. The reason why I choose this type of evangelism is because it gives the entire plan of salvation including the baptism. This plan of salvation gives scriptures throughout not just one particular book in the bible. We had a teenager to come and visit our church and I knew by one of the members that the teenager has had some difficult situations in her family life and all she had left is to try Jesus. The member wanted me to talk with the teenager about salvation. I started the conversation out by asking, â€Å"Have you received the Holy Ghost since you believed? † Some situations one has to be very direct and this one of these situations. The teenager stated she has not received the Holy Ghost. We will write a custom essay sample on Witness Report or any similar topic specifically for you Do Not WasteYour Time HIRE WRITER Only 13.90 / page I then asked if she has been baptized in Jesus name. The teenager stated that she has not; various scriptures in Acts were read to her. There are other scriptures to back up the book of Acts such as I Corinthians, Romans and Galatians but time and the situation did not permit to go into other books of the Bible. PART TWO – What was the reaction (questions/comments/statements) of the unbeliever? The reaction of the teenager was a little confused but interested in what I had explained to her. The teenager had seen the others dancing and speaking in unknown tongue so I believed she wanted that same type of joy. She wanted to know about the Holy Ghost. I began to explain what the Holy Ghost was and gave her scripture. I told her the evidence that she has the Holy Ghost is that she would speak in an unknown tongue; but no one could give her this but the Lord. She also wanted to know what she had to do in order to receive the Holy Ghost. I explained to her all she needed to do is just believe; she did not have tarrying around the altar as I once did. I told her Hallelujah is the highest praise if she wanted to do that she could or began to just thank the Lord for what he has already done in her life. The teenager began to say, â€Å"Hallelujah†. PART THREE – How did you conclude the conversation in order to follow up? We began to tarrying with the teenager and she finally received the gift of the Holy Ghost. The teenager realized that she was speaking in tongues and announced it to the church. We began to rejoice because another soul has been added to the kingdom; not so much the church in which so many people forget these days. She has not been baptized as of yet but she is waiting to do the next step. We are renting a building that does not have a pool but we will be baptizing her very soon at another facility. I had already read to her Acts 2:38 and some other scriptures explaining about the baptism. We gave her a welcome packet which included a brochure, calendar magnet, business cards and a postcard that have all of the church information in the packet. The following Sunday; she received a certificate giving her the date that she received the Holy Ghost so that she can remember that special date she was born again. The teenager also joined the church and has been coming faithfully in spite of the struggles that are going on her family life.

WOMEN LIFE IN ANCIENT TIMES essays

WOMEN LIFE IN ANCIENT TIMES essays From the earliest years of ancient times, womens status were defined by their relationship to men. A woman was in second place to the man never the first. Since early historical times, women have been considered not only intellectually inferior to men but also a major source of temptation and evil. Early Roman law described women as children, forever inferior to men. The double standard certainly involves more than biology; it is also a product of the historical domination of women by men. In ancient western civilizations, cultures like Romans; the status of women were clearly defined as inferior to men either through script law, or custom that is understood and obeyed by everyone in these cultures. Rome was founded as a patriarchal society, women were the property of their fathers later their husbands. However, in early Christian culture women are held in higher regard than the previous two cultures mainly because of Jesus and Paul. Jesus teaches equality, but Paul spread his messa ge and popularised Christianity. In ancient Greece, women were not equally treated, and men were more important and the female less essential; the male is the ruler and female is the subject. The Greek word for woman, gyne was also their word for wife. No differentiation was made between the two, which leads one to be live that, the Greeks assumed a womans main role was to be a wife. The law of the Greeks makes it intelligible that, the function of a woman was the obligation to bear children, especially male children who would preserved the family line(Spielvogel 79). This shows proof that the Greek world was male dominated and women had little say in their daily life and activities. A woman of these times could not be entrusted to handle her own private affairs, or support her self. Women were under the guidance and instruction of a man at all times, if it were their husbands, father or another male ...

The processes of evolution Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 500 words

The processes of evolution - Essay Example terbreeding natural populations, which are reproductively isolated from other groups, (Hausdorf, 2011).’In essence a species is considered the biggest gene pool that can occur under natural conditions. Populations connected by gene flow are often hard to classify. While a species concept defines the conditions under which a population should be classified as a species a population are individuals that belong to a specific species and are usually located in an area that is able to be defined. Populations interact with other populations in their environments and their physical environment; also interacting with those populations of another species. Populations that grow exponentially can reach the maximum sustainable of their population in a certain environment. There are four different forces of evolution; natural selection, mutation, gene flow, and genetic drift. Natural selection has four different components which struggle with each other to change certain traits within populations (University of Michigan, 2010). Natural selection is subject to inheritance, whereas traits are passed on through heredity, variation such as hair color and eye color or other individual characteristics. An increased rate of population growth means that each population is subject to struggle for a dwindling supply of resources. Finally differential survival and reproduction means that those individual’s more suited to the struggles will pass on more offspring and genes which are able to withstand different conditions. Natural selection depends on traits that are inheritable. Mutation causes new genetic variations in a certain gene pool. These mutations cause the variation in genetics that allow others evolutionary forces to act such as natural selection, gene flow and genetic drift. Gene flow occurs when individual’s move into and out of certain populations. An example of this would be Americans resettling in other Countries and producing offspring. This affects that
